Questions and answers

There is a lot of interest for gas-powered vehicles and many have questions about gas energy, and what it’s like to be a FordonsGas customer. Therefore, we have collected answers to all the most common questions. If you do not find an answer to your question, please feel free to contact us!

Yes, see Can I pay by e-invoice?
When you fill up using your the FordonsGas card, you can choose to pay by e-invoice or autogiro instead of paper invoice. The registration is most easily done via your internet bank, where you look up FordonsGas in the list of companies that are affiliated with e-invoices or register for Autogiro at
Our FordonsGas (CNG) always contains at least 60 percent biogas. If you are a BIO-CNG customer, you always buy 100 percent biogas, regardless at which of our stations you fill up at. We call it the green gas principle. It works much like when you sign a Green Electricity Agreement: We supply as much biogas to the gas network as you fill up your vehicle with.
If you require a single receipt, you are welcome to contact customer support at 0771-520 200 or customer (all days 9-16, lunch time 11.30-12.30). Please indicate which station, amount or volume, date, time, and email address to which we will send the receipt.

When you pay with the FordonsGas card, you can choose to get all your receipts on mail instead. Easy for you, and better for the environment. Get in touch with customer support and we will solve it.

Yes, large amounts of biogas are added to the grid at, among other things, Rya Purification Plant in Gothenburg (Gasendal). The gas network is an energy efficient way of distributing the gas.
Then there is a risk that the nozzle, hose or worst-case dispenser breaks. You will be liable for all associated costs and the amount will be based on the extent of the damage.
BiGreen is our (old) product name for Liquid Vehicle Gas (LNG) – gas energy specifically adapted for trucks and heavy traffic. Instead of pressurizing the gas, it cools down to -160 degrees and becomes a sustainable alternative for remote transport. Like our compressed vehicle gas (CNG), BiGreen contains at least 50 percent renewable biogas, giving up to 50 percent lower carbon dioxide emissions compared to diesel, which represents a real step towards set environmental goals.
To compare the price of BiGreen with diesel, you must consider that 1 kilo of BiGreen contains more energy than 1 litre of diesel. Energy equivalent, 1 kilo of BiGreen corresponds to approximately 1.4 litres of diesel. Therefore, if you want to compare prices, you must divide the BiGreen price by 1.4.
Fordonsgas (vehicle gas, or CNG, as it’s known internationally) is a collective name for the compressed gas energy used as fuel for vehicles adapted for gas operation. The vehicle gas consists mainly of methane and contains either methane from biogas, natural gas or a mixture of these two. Unlike many other fuels, vehicle gas is sustainable, with low CO2 emissions, particles and harmful substances. At FordonsGas, you can choose to refuel CNG with at least 60 percent renewable biogas or become a biogas customer and refuel CNG BIO with 100 percent biogas.
Our gas energy consists mostly of methane. Chemically clean, methane gas is the same, whether it comes as natural gas or biogas. This allows it to be mixed, and it also allows us to provide clean biogas from each nozzle at our energy stations. When customers choose to become biogas customers and fill up with 100 percent biogas, we see that the same amount of biogas is added to our gas grid. Just as in the case of green electricity, we supply as much biogas to the gas network as you think your vehicle requires without increasing the share of renewable energy throughout the system. Join us and make a difference too – become a biogas customer here!
See our gas station map, which shows all gas stations in Sweden.
Most of our biogas is locally produced and purchased from local production facilities around Western Sweden, such as Falköping, Lidköping, Jönköping, Sävsjö and Vårgårda.
The natural gas comes mainly from the Danish gas fields in the North Sea. The gas is distributed via the European gas network from Denmark along the west coast to Stenungsund.
Natural gas is needed to secure the supply of gas energy and while we wait for the construction of more facilities for biogas production. Natural gas is better than gasoline and diesel when looking at local emissions and health effects. Comparing natural gas with, for example, gasoline, natural gas releases up to 20 percent less carbon dioxide (CO2). But with that said: because natural gas is fossil based(non-renewable) we are constantly working to increase the proportion of biogas in our products, and our goal is to offer 100 percent renewable gas energy at all our gas stations.
In order to compare the vehicle gas price with other fuels, you have to consider that 1 kilogram of vehicle gas contains more energy than 1 litre of gasoline. In terms of energy amount 1 kilogram of vehicle gas corresponds to about 1.5 litres of gasoline. Therefore, if you want to compare prices, you must divide the gas energy price by 1.5.
